It takes suggestions to improve village

First of all we definitely need more crosswalks, especially around
Ocean Avenue. It’s a very dangerous situation especially in the
summertime. There are very few crosswalks when people are trying to
get across Ocean to their cars or to Coast Highway. Also I believe
that too many park benches will bring too many people to stay
overnight and will cause another problem.
And we also don’t want it to look like Disneyland. We like it
natural and the way it should be and not artificial like Disneyland.
I think it would be lovely to have hanging baskets or hanging flowers
on some of the sign posts, it would be very pretty -- but to keep it
simple, but not overdone.

The No. 1 priority should be reducing congestion so the traffic
can pass through faster with less inconvenience.
No. 2, shoppers should be able to find more convenient parking and
shopping.

I think they should just bulldoze all of Corona del Mar and get
rid of all the charming old buildings. Then they would have room for
the 10-lane freeway we will soon need after they build a couple of
5,000 room luxury hotel time shares.
After all we need to promote the master plan visions of our City
Council and the Irvine Co.

They need to improve the town. What they need to do is change the
signage, it’s too huge. It should be smaller and less. People will
see the signs like Laguna Beach. They have a good sign law where you
don’t always see the signs, you see the buildings and how pretty the
trees are.
