White Chaos, an AYSO boys’ Under-10 Division team from Laguna Beach,
won three of four games at the Sectional playoffs in Downey.
Teams from Whittier, Wilmington and La Mesa also participated at
the two-day tournament.
The three victories qualified White Chaos for the Tri-Sectionals
tournament, which also is known as the California State
Championships.
Laguna Beach is just one of two Southern California teams to
qualify for the Tri-Sectionals.
During the Sectional playoffs, Nolan McConnell and Brian Vail gave
strong performances at the forward position and led White Chaos in
scoring.
Griffin Fair, Austin Hillemann, Lucas Stevens, Adam Kravitz, Mac
Thornton, Robert Clemons, Tommy Renner, Evan Steinhoff, Kellen
Uchizono and keeper Alex Iannotti each made key contributions to
White Chaos’ tournament success.
The one-day State Championship tournament will be held March 27 in
San Pedro.
