CdM six selected All-PCL
Corona del Mar High senior Kinzie Kramer and sophomore teammates
Kelly Morgan and Taylor Fallon are first-team All-Pacific Coast
League honorees, leading a group of six Sea King girls soccer players
named all-league by the circuit’s coaches.
Kramer, the 5-foot-3 team captain, spearheaded the Sea Kings’
defense at sweeper, while Morgan and Fallon added offensive punch.
Kramer, who had been a defender in her first three years with the
Sea Kings, played sweeper for the first time in her career. She said
she will not play soccer in college, instead focusing on academics.
Morgan scored two goals, helping lead Corona del Mar to a 4-1 PCL
victory over University Feb. 3, which was key in getting the Sea
Kings into the CIF playoffs.
Fallon’s older sister, Vanessa, a junior, along with junior
Tanisha Senartne and sophomore Rachel Yelsey, garnered second-team
all-league recognition for Coach Bryan Middleton’s Sea Kings, who
finished third in the PCL with a 6-3-1 record. Corona del Mar, which
finished the season 9-9-2, lost, 2-1, in overtime to El Dorado in the
first round of the CIF Southern Section Division II playoffs
Vanessa Fallon was a fullback, while Senartne played the midfield
and occasionally in goal. Yelsey was a midfielder who also played
forward.
