* Atlanta Avenue: A man reported that children broke his garage
window while shooting at his house with BB guns the night before in
the 300 block at 5:08 p.m. Saturday.
* Beach Boulevard: A trespasser reportedly left a hotel room
through a window in the 16300 block at 12:23 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard: A pedestrian was reportedly swearing and
hitting a drive-through window while refusing to leave in the 17500
block at 3 a.m. Sunday.
* Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue: Battery was reported at 7:09
p.m. Sunday.
* Bushard Street and Yorktown Avenue: A man wearing no shirt and
apparently under the influence of drugs was reportedly standing in a
“Christ-like” pose at 2:46 p.m. Sunday.
* California Street: A woman reported that she woke up on a garage
floor after a friend “choked her out” in the 4000 block at 4:22 p.m.
Sunday.
* Edinger Avenue: Children wearing camouflage clothing and black
beanies were reportedly carrying what were described as paintball or
BB guns in the 7700 block at 3:12 p.m. Friday.
* Edinger Avenue: Merchandise valued at more than $500, including
a Playstation, was reportedly stolen in the 7700 block at 11:47 a.m.
Sunday.
* Marilyn Drive: A woman reported that she was threatened by a
painter’s son after she had a disagreement with the painter at her
house in the 6500 block at 3:57 p.m. Saturday.
* Newland Street and Hamilton Avenue: A child riding a bicycle was
injured in a collision with a vehicle at 3:16 p.m. Saturday. Police
said the injuries were not life-threatening.
* Pacific Coast Highway: Five purses were reported stolen from
guests at a banquet in a hotel in the 21500 block at 8:11 a.m.
Sunday.
* Pacific Coast Highway: Three men were reportedly fighting in the
300 block at 5:40 p.m. Sunday.
* Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street: A driver reported that an
elderly woman riding in a vehicle yelled “Call the police” twice at
2:50 p.m. Sunday.
* Pearce Street: A woman reported that she heard a sound like
someone running on her roof in the 4700 block at 2:34 a.m. Friday.
* Poolside Lane: A fight involving 15 people was reported in an
alley in the 21000 block at 11:11 p.m. Saturday.
* Rockinghorse Lane: A statue valued at $2,000 was reported stolen
in the 10900 block at 11:26 a.m. Friday.
* Sher Lane: A red Acura was reported stolen in the 16100 block at
11:01 a.m. Sunday.
* Spa Drive: Teenagers were reportedly screaming and hollering
while doing “doughnuts” with trucks in a field in the 5600 block at
10:10 p.m. Saturday.
* Springdale Street: Tools valued at more than $500 were reported
stolen in the 17100 block at 12:33 p.m. Sunday.
* Telhan Drive: A woman reported that a neighbor cut down one of
her trees in the 9500 block at 3:43 p.m. Sunday.
* Warner Avenue: About six college students engaging in political
activity were reportedly sticking CDs in customers’ faces and using
foul language in the 6700 block at 12:43 p.m. Friday.
* Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard: The driver of a silver Toyota
Camry was reportedly on the wrong side of the road; the car had two
flat tires after having apparently driven over a median at 1:34 a.m.
Sunday.
* Warner Avenue and Lark Lane: A truck reportedly rolled over
after a collision with a Corvette at 11:27 a.m. Sunday.
* Yorktown Avenue and Florida Street: A woman reported that her
friend was bleeding after being hit over the head with a beer bottle
at 5:13 p.m. Sunday.
* 2nd Street and Walnut Avenue: A fight was reported at 11:35 p.m.
Friday.
* 9th Street: Two wetsuits and two surfboards were reported stolen
out of a garage overnight in the 300 block at 8:34 a.m. Saturday.
