City taking nominations for the Circle of Service
Costa Mesa is accepting nominations for the Circle of Service,
which honors citizens who have provided significant service, made an
extraordinary contribution or contributed to the history of the city.
To qualify, the nominee must have been deceased a minimum of six
months before the nomination; must have been a resident of Costa Mesa
for a minimum of eight years; and must have been involved in
community service for at least five consecutive years or have given
his or her life in the service of the nation or community.
The nominations can be submitted by a family member or member of
the community; a member of nonprofit organization; or someone from
the business community. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m.
April 2. Nomination forms can be obtained at the city’s recreation
