Evening accident stalls traffic
Traffic was backed up on Jamboree Road from Eastbluff Drive to
Bristol Street in Newport Beach after a black Honda sedan rolled,
landing on its side in the southbound lanes of the busy thoroughfare.
One Newport Beach fire engine, a paramedic and three police cars
responded to the accident at about 6:15 p.m.
Emergency crews attended to 25-year-old Matthew Easton, who lay in
the median holding a towel to his head. He was put on a stretcher and
taken to Western Medical Center Santa Ana for treatment of minor
injuries, Newport Beach Lt. Jim Kaminsky said.
The black car stood on its side while commuters made their way
cautiously around it. Shirts, jeans, bags and other contents of the
trunk were strewn all over the street.
