The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The
selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree.
School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable lunch salad with Dannon Fruit Yogurt or chicken tenders,
crisp green salad with ranch, Minute Maid sour apple fruit juice bar
and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Non-student day at all schools except Harbor View. Manager’s
special baby carrots with ranch dip, choice of fruit juice and choice
of milk.
THURSDAY
Vegetarian health sandwich or two ground turkey soft tacos with
lettuce, lettuce, cheese and salsa., apricots, graham crackers and
choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Munchable lunch salad or Galaxy cheese pizza, broccoli with ranch
dip, Sun Maid raisins, fresh baked cookie and choice of milk.
MONDAY
Munchable lunch salad or chicken patty sandwich on a bun, veggie
sticks with ranch dip, diced pears and choice of milk.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts. (*peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
