OCC culinary team continues to run table
Orange Coast College’s culinary arts students are the state
champions for the fifth time in a row, winning the California State
Hot Food Team Competition, which was held Jan. 25 in the college’s
student center and Captain’s Table Kitchens.
The American Culinary Federation sponsored the competition. OCC’s
team will advance to the Western Regional Competition, scheduled to
take place between Feb. 25 and 29 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Last year, OCC earned a gold medal and finished second in the
Western regional contest.
