Breakers ranked 7th in Division II poll
The names remain the same and the rankings status quo in the latest
CIF-Southern Section girls’ Division II poll.
The rankings were released by the Southern Section office on
Tuesday.
Laguna Beach, which won its final two games of the regular season,
again held down the No. 7 ranking.
The Breakers were one of three Pacific Coast League teams to grace
the poll, which was topped yet again by Corona del Mar.
University, which Laguna defeated on Feb. 5, is the other PCL team
in the poll.
The Trojans were ranked eighth.
Laguna’s boys’ basketball team received votes in the Division
IV-AA poll, but just missed a top 10 spot.
The Division II girls’ water polo poll is as follows: The Division
II Top 10 poll is as follows: 1. Corona del Mar; 2. Villa Park; 3.
Peninsula; 4. El Dorado; 5. Canyon/Anaheim; 6. Troy; 7. Laguna Beach;
8. University; 9. Sunny Hills; 10. Mira Costa.
The Division IV-AA boys’ basketball rankings is as follows: 1. St.
Joseph/Santa Maria; 2. Brentwood; 3. Campbell Hall; 4. La Salle; 5.
Oaks Christian; 6. St Bernard; 7. Serra; 8. Loma Linda Academy; 9.
Village Christian; 10. Maranatha.
Others: Crossroads, LA Baptist, Murphy, Laguna Beach, Twentynine
Palms, Silver Valley, Morro Bay.
