The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The
selection might include a salad, sandwich or hot entree. School
lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait yogurt; or teriyaki beef
dippers and rice; baby carrots with ranch dip; diced pears; and
choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad; or two pepperoni pizzatas; broccoli
flowerettes with ranch dip; frozen 100% fruit juice bar; and choice
of milk.
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad; or pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs;
freshly baked whole-grain roll; crisp green salad with ranch
dressing; pineapple tidbits; and choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad* or Valentine chicken nuggets; seasoned
corn; apricots; chocolate animal crackers; and choice of milk.
MONDAY
No school; President’s Day.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts (*peanut butter on selected days).
Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with a vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser and Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea and Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
