Big Dogs record big triumph
The Big Dogs scored five goals over the final two periods to pull
away to a 5-0 victory over the Spiders in Norris Division play at
Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Ryder Epson’s three goals paved the way and Hunter Epson scored
once.
David Mastro got the shutout on eight saves.
In other Norris games:
Hot Shots 3, Booyahs 0
William Baltazar had 13 saves as he shut down the Booyahs and
Andrew Putman scored two goals on offense to lead the Hot Shots.
Ashley Woody scored a goal and Kyle Haymond had two assists.
Matthew Mahony had 19 saves for the Booyahs.
Terminators 7, Ducks 1
Slater Orr’s three goals topped a Terminators offense that also
saw Cole Redl score twice and Zachary Harriman and Leo Marquez score
once.
Redl and Kyle Finney also had one assist each and Austin Shannon
had 17 saves.
Andrew Corral scored unassisted for the Ducks and Nick Edwards had
22 saves.
Panthers 4, The Skulls 1
Consecutive goals by Paul Ishizaki, Alex Kemp and Evan Kurth broke
a 1-1 tie as the Panthers pulled away.
Kurth also had an assist and Marcus Kurth recorded 20 saves.
Dylan Christiano scored off a Victor Salazar feed and David Stone
had 18 saves for The Skulls.
