WEDNESDAY
A Town Hall Meeting will be hosted by the Huntington Beach City
School District to discuss the state budget crisis and its
implications for the district. Supt. Gary Rutherford and Assistant
Supt. David Perry will present up-to-date information and provide
opportunities for the public to ask questions, make comments and
offer suggestions. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in room 402 at
Sowers Middle School, 9300 Indianapolis Ave. Information: (714)

The Bolsa Chica Wetlands Tour is a free one-and-a-half-
hour tour that makes five stops along the walk-bridge and loop
trail of the wetlands. Trained tour guides discuss bird
identification, ecology, endangered species, early history and
current status. Displays, literature and merchandise are available in
the parking lot. No reservations are required for the public tour.
Warm clothing and binoculars are recommended. The time will be 9 to
10:30 a.m. Meet at the walk-bridge of the Bolsa Chica Ecological
Reserve on the east side of Pacific Coast Highway between Warner
Avenue and Seapoint Street. Admission will be free. Information:

Huntington Dog Beach is seeking volunteers to help clean up the
beach. The cleanup will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and free
pizza will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Quarters for
parking and cleaning supplies will also be provided. Huntington Dog
Beach is along Pacific Coast Highway between 21st and Seapoint streets. Volunteers will meet at the bluff near Tower 24 at the white
canopy. Nearest parking is between Goldenwest and Seapoint streets.

Grace Lutheran School will hold an open house for its junior
kindergarten and kindergarten classes. Visitors will be able to meet
the principal and teachers as well as see the classrooms. The open
house will be held in rooms A-6, A-7 and A-8 and registration packets

Lane. Campus tours and classroom observations may be scheduled Monday
