Home garage fire put out quickly
A garage fire in a Costa Mesa home on Tuesday caused about $70,000
in damage, officials said.
Firefighters saw smoke coming out of the garage and attic vents
after receiving the call at about 11 p.m., officials said. The two
residents who were home at the time left and did not suffer any
injuries, Battalion Chief Christopher Riley said.
The fire was put out in about 10 minutes, and it didn’t spread to
the home itself, he said. Twenty firefighters responded to the call.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
