The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait Fruit Yogurt or two mini
cheeseburgers, lettuce and pickles, applesauce and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
*Munchable Lunch Salad or Red Baron Stuffed Pizza, crisp green
salad with ranch diced pears, choice of milk.
THURSDAY
Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or
Dog-Gone Chicken Sandwich, paulie peas, apricot halves, Baked Nacho
Cheese Doritos and choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or two beef soft tacos, lettuce, salsa and
cheese, and choice of 100% fruit juice, fresh baked cookie and choice
of milk.
MONDAY
Martin Luther King Jr. Day. No School.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts. (*Peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
