Open enrollment allowed for schools
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District allows open enrollment
within the district for residents.
Depending upon availability, the parent or guardian of any
school-age student in the district can select the child’s school. The
open enrollment application period for the 2004-05 school year begins
Jan. 15 and closes March 15.
Transfer request applications may be picked up in the
administration office of any school or at the district office.
Completed applications should be returned to the reception desk at
the Newport-Mesa Unified School District Education Center, at 2985
Bear St., Building A in Costa Mesa.
Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday. If there are more transfer requests for a specific school
than the school’s capacity allows, a lottery will be held to rank the
applications. For more information, call student services at (714)
424-8911.
