Getting free answers to your water questions
Where does Newport-Mesa’s water come from? Who delivers it and
assures that it’s safe and pure? Is there any chance supplies will
run low?
Residents who want to learn the answers to these and many other
water-related questions can attend a free course offered by the
Orange County Water District.
The course, O.C. Water 101, will examine a looming global water
crisis, how water affects health, California’s water situation and
the future of water supplies in Orange County. The class will also
include discussions on high-tech solutions to alleviate water
shortages today and in the future.
Students can attend the two-hour class from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 28,
Feb. 25 or March 24. The course is at the water district’s Fountain
Valley headquarters, 10500 Ellis Ave. The class is free, but
reservations are required. For information and reservations, call
(714) 378-3217.
