TUESDAY
* Brangwyn Way and Cress Street: A Dana Point resident and a Hemet
resident were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled
substance for sale after five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms were
discovered in the Hemet man’s car following a traffic stop. The
arrests were made at 1:15 and 1:24 a.m.
MONDAY
* Ceanothus Drive: A man told police that he found his front door
broken when he returned from vacation to his home in the 31200 block
at 6:05 p.m.
* Cliff Drive: A resident reported a chow dog was barking loudly
outside the front door in the 700 block at 4:10 p.m.
* Cliff Drive and North Coast Highway: A person handing out fliers
to advertise a store was reported to be making a mess at 3:20 p.m.
* Forest Avenue: A baggie of methamphetamines was found by a
police officer in the 500 block at 10:53 a.m.
* Glenneyre Street: A person reported being unable to remove a
pigeon from a gallery in the 300 block at 11:05 a.m. The bird had
gotten itself into a narrow crawl space.
* Holly Drive: A resident reported a large dead rat was on their
lawn in the 300 block at 1:39 p.m.
* Marilyn Drive: A man reported his home was egged and toilet
papered over the night in the 30800 block at 10:24 a.m.
* South Coast Highway and Thalia: A tall woman with long blond
hair wearing a short T-shirt and jeans was reported skateboarding in
traffic at 9:25 p.m.
SUNDAY
* Bonn Drive: Rocks arranged to spell “Help Me” were found in the
3000 block at 7:58 a.m.
* Coral Drive: Police received a report that a person was throwing
beer cans at pedestrians in the 1400 block at 10:12 a.m.
* Glenneyre Street: A San Luis Obispo man was arrested on
suspicion of selling Oxycontin in the 600 block at 12:10 a.m.
* Moss Street: A person reported their roommate’s dog had gotten
out at 1:23 p.m. The dog was found after it bit a female who
attempted to care for the dog after it was hit by a car. The woman
was treated for bites on her hand and the dog was taken to the vet
and quarantined.
* South Coast Highway: A person reported a man struck the caller’s
friend in the 1400 block at 1:07 a.m.
SATURDAY
* Cypress Drive and Poplar Street: A bronze 1999 Infiniti was
reported stolen at 8:44 a.m. The car’s owner still had the keys in
possession.
* Fairview Road: A resident reported a burglary in the 200 block
at 3:25 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A man and woman were reportedly yelling at
each other in a car in the 2700 block at 12:45 a.m. Police arrested
the man on suspicion of drunk driving at 1:58 a.m.
* North Coast Highway: A San Juan Capistrano resident was arrested
on suspicion of possessing marijuana and an open container of alcohol
in a vehicle after a traffic stop in the 800 block at 7:24 a.m.
* North Coast Highway: Pickets were reportedly blowing a very
noisy air horn in the 600 block at 7:44 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A Laguna Beach resident was arrested on suspicion
of drunken driving and drug possession at 10:31 p.m.
* Via Capri: A missing person report for a child suffering from
short-term memory loss was made in the 1500 block at 6:50 a.m.
FRIDAY
* El Toro Road: A person reported a cat was in a parking lot
driveway in the 24300 block at 7:33 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A rape was reported from a hospital in the
31000 block at 5:39 p.m. An investigation yielded no physical
evidence.
