John Collett of Costa Mesa took part in military action in Mogadishu,
Somalia, as an Army Ranger in 1993 and is now a music major and
oarsman on Orange Coast College’s rowing team. The event was later
immortalized in the film “Black Hawk Down” by Ridley Scott and Jerry
Bruckheimer, which Collet later served as an advisor on ... Air Force
