Youth basketball clinic scheduled for February
First- and second-graders can sign up for Tiny League Basketball,
a clinic for boys and girls that takes place for four Wednesdays
beginning Feb. 4.
The program emphasizes basketball fundamentals for children,
including dribbling, passing and shooting. The workshop costs $35 for
Newport Beach residents, $40 for nonresidents and it takes place at
the Lincoln Athletic Center.

Newport forum to discuss water quality
The West Newport Beach Assn. will present a public forum featuring
a panel of water-quality experts and other officials on Jan. 28 at
Newport Beach City Hall.
“Water Quality: Issues and Actions in West Newport Beach” is the
title of the forum, which will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the council
chambers at 3300 Newport Blvd. The Orange County CoastKeeper Program
and Media Director Randy Seton, Assistant City Manager Dave Kiff,
Harbor Resources Manager Tom Rossmiller and others will be present.

Company accepting Toys for Tots donations
First Team Real Estate is asking the community to bring toys to
any of its offices for the Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots
campaign.
The nearest drop off site is at First Team Estates, 17 Corporate
Plaza, Suite 210, in Newport Beach. The office is open from 9 a.m. to
6 p.m. daily.
First Team is also asking its staff to bring a toy as part of
admission to its annual Christmas party, where Marine reservists will
be on hand to collect donations.
