Sandpiper ends season with 18-0 victory

Sandpiper and Team Viagra concluded regular season play in the City
of Laguna Beach Men’s Fall 16 Slow Pitch Softball League with
victories.
Sandpiper was an 18-0 winner over Solag Hamstrings, while Team
Viagra also posted 18 runs in an 18-2 win over first-place Courtesy
Auto Body, in games played at Riddle Field.
Sandpiper 18, Solag Hamstrings 0
The hitting of Dave Sommerville and Ryan Neptune propelled
Sandpiper to the easy victory.
Sommerville hit two home runs, including a grand slam.
Defensively, he made an outstanding catch in left field.
Neptune, the league’s top home run hitter, added to his standing
by belting three more round-trippers.
Team Viagra 18, Courtesy Auto Body 2
Having already secured the regular season championship, Courtesy
Auto Body was dealt a devastating loss by Team Viagra.
Keith Mulvaney led the Team Viagra charge with a two-run home run.
Gary Greene hit a two-run triple and Cam Hammil knocked in two
runs.
Final regular season standings: 1. Courtesy Auto Body, 8-2; 2T.
Ganahl Lumber and Team Viagra, 7-3; 4. Sandpiper, 6-4, 5. Good, Bad
and Ugly, 2-8; 6. Solag Hamstrings, 0-10.
