SUNDAY
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 42-year-old Laguna Niguel
resident on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with
one prior conviction in the 600 block at 9:14 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: An unoccupied vehicle rolled onto the
inland side of the highway in the 1800 block at 4:26 p.m., hitting a
stop sign and a black truck. Only the stop sign was damaged.
* Forest Avenue: A major power outage affected about 3,000
residences for about two hours starting at 4:47 a.m. between Moss
Street and Aliso Beach. After it was restored, the power went out
again at 7:30 a.m. until the faulty transformer was found at 10:29
a.m.
* South Coast Highway: Citizens at Vacation Village reported an
injured bird at the bottom of the stairs at 12:19 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A resident reported that four panting dogs
were inside a sports utility vehicle with only partially open windows
in the 300 block at 12:40 p.m. The man gave the dogs some water
through the window and police left a notice on the car at 12:50 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 21-year-old janitor from
Stanton on suspicion of possessing about a half-gram of
methamphetamine in the 31100 block at 12:20 a.m.
SATURDAY
* Forest Avenue: A resident reported that a city sign was hitting
a wire when the wind blew in the 200 block at 6:52 p.m.
* Park Avenue: A resident reported that children were
skateboarding on the high school tennis courts at 8:18 p.m.
* Forest Avenue: A business owner reported that a man was playing
a horn in front of the store in the 200 block, bothering customers at
3:01 p.m.
* Gunderson Road: A resident reported that a coyote that looked
dead was on his property in the 20700 block at 3:32 p.m. Animal
services conducted a rabies investigation of the animal.
* Laguna Canyon and Raquel roads: Police arrested a 32-year-old
Cerritos resident on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and three
counts of possessing a controlled substance at 12:21 a.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: Police are looking for a suspect who caused
about $4,000 of damage at the Laguna Beach College of Art and Design
by tipping over a statue, several trash cans and breaking flood
lights at 3:30 a.m.
NOV. 21
* Broadway and North Coast Highway: Police arrested a 47-year-old
Aliso Viejo resident on suspicion of being drunk in public at 8:15
p.m. and discovered he had a $10,000 San Bernardino warrant for
burglary during the investigation.
* Park Avenue: A resident reported that that loud explosions and
screaming were coming from the high school at 9:53 a.m. A science
teacher was on the football field conducting an experiment.
* 3rd Avenue and South Coast Highway: Police arrested a
33-year-old Laguna Niguel resident on suspicion of possessing
methamphetamine and a meth pipe at 7:09 p.m.
NOV. 20
* Ocean Way: A resident reported that a magazine salesman was
verbally forceful with him and tried aggressively to get into his
house in the 1800 block at 4:46 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A man driving a gray truck said a child on
a Thurston Middle School bus threw toothpaste at his car in the 30800
block at 12:51 p.m.
* Ceanothus Drive: A resident reported that someone hit a wire
fence, knocking it off its foundation, and drove away in the 31300
block at 7:20 a.m.
NOV. 19
* Cress Street Beach: A resident reported that he and his daughter
saw a couple having sex on the beach for the second time in two weeks
at 7:37 p.m.
* Alta Laguna Park: Police arrested a 33-year-old Long Beach
resident for a traffic violation and found that he had $30,000 worth
of outstanding violations in the 3300 block at 7:55 a.m.
