Persian and Main Coon
Obiwan is a silver Persian male cat who is neutered. Princess Leah
is a silver Main Coon female cat who is a spayed. Both are 7 months
old and purebred.
Two beautiful and highly-desired animals will satisfy someone’s
wish list this holiday season. The right thing to do is to make
Obiwan and Princess Leah available to be adopted together since the
two have grown up with one another. Adopting two animals is great
because people’s work and play schedules sometimes leave many animals
lonely.
New pet parents are often resistant to get two animals, but come
back later wishing they had. The ones that were convinced to get two
are so appreciative and often come by to tell us, or they call saying
they can’t imagine missing the experience of watching them play and
groom each other and getting to see the different personalities of
each. Those that adopt only one animal soon feel guilty coming home
late. Animals do miss the contact and are happiest having some type
of companionship and it makes it easier to keep cats indoors as they
are not as bored and are less likely to try to run outdoors.
Our network members learn from the pet parenting class that those
whom consider the litter box duty or smell to be a problem with two
cats can use a pine or corn-type litter that is available at pet
supply stores. These litters have less odor and allow you to flush
the “duty.” But beware, cats demand changing the brand of litter to
be done gradually. It is a must to read the directions on the bag and
allow the animal to get slowly grown accustom to the change.
