Rogelio Humberto Vega

Rogelio Humberto Vega, a 25-year Laguna Beach resident, died Nov.

14 after suffering a heart attack earlier that week. He was 62.

Mr. Vega was a graduate of the Art Center School of Design and

served in the Marine Corps. He is survived by his parents, Humberto

and Lourdes; sons Max, Alex, Juan, and Sebastian; brother Rafael;

wife Jamie; and grandchildren Emilia, Alina, Will and Eliza.

Members of the Vega family said they wish to thank the many

friends who have offered their condolences, prayers and warm

memories. In keeping with his expressed wishes, the family will hold

a private service.

The following was written by Mr. Vega’s sons to their father:

Dear Dad,

We miss you. You left us just the way you wanted to -- gone in a

flash -- and we’re happy you’ve found your peace.

You were a great dad, full of amazing talents and funny stories.

You taught us so many lessons about life and we treasure our time

with you so much.

You were an amazing artist, a passionate congetto, a tough old

soldier and a loving father. But your jokes were terrible.

We love you,
