Brynn Maurer, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter for the Mater Dei High girls
volleyball team and Newport Beach resident, has signed a letter of
intent to continue her athletic career at the University of San
Francisco, her coach Craig Pazanti said.
Maurer is an All-CIF honoree in both volleyball and track and
field and is also a member of the Orange County Volleyball Club.
The Monarchs’ girls volleyball team (30-3) advanced the semifinals
of the CIF Southern Section Division II-A playoffs with a sweep of
Fullerton Saturday. They will resume action tonight at 7 at Buena.
Maurer chose the University of San Francisco over UC Irvine and
Georgetown.
