Victoria Skimboarders dominate
The United Skim Tour recently wrapped up its 2003 season and final
results listed Bill Bryan of local Victoria Skimboards as the tour’s
points leader for the season.
Bryan acquired 11,400 points in 11 events in which he competed
during the 12-event tour.
Combining consistency, aggressive talent and skill, experience and
conditioning, the 30-year-old easily outdistanced second-place Paulo
Prietto who finished with 7,773 points he scored in 11 competitive
events.
Some of the Top 10 spots in the final season standings were not
secured until the final contest staged in late October.
Victoria Skimboards was well represented on the final season
scoring list as its competitors took nine of the Top 16 spots.
In addition to Bryan’s win at No. 1, Brandon Sears was next on the
list in fourth-place, followed closely by teammate Miles Grobman.
Eighth-place went to Jamie Lovett and spots 10 through 12 went to
Victoria’s Morgan Just, Keith Fanning and Brendan Stevens.
Keith Peery grabbed spot No. 14 and Brandon Rothe was No. 16 and
completed Victoria Skimboards’ dominance.
