HIGH- LIGHTS: Like Faagai, Duffy was in on several big plays. He

came up with a couple of quarterback sacks, and caused the

interception that Faagai snagged. Duffy also secured the victory when

he sacked Aztec quarterback Grant Farrell, causing a fumble that the

Oilers recovered after Esperanza had threatened to score in the final

minute.

COACH’S COMMENTS: “Eki and Scott both played terrific games,” Mike

Groscost said. “Their efforts reflected the outstanding job our

entire defense gave in that game. Our kids were elated with the

victory.”

HIGH- LIGHTS: Faagai gave an all-around outstand- ing per-

formance for Hunt- ington Beach in its 14-10 upset of Sunset rival

Esper- anza. He was in on several tackles but came up with two big

plays: an intercep- tion and a caused fumble.
