John and Polly O’Meara of Newport Beach announce the engagement of

their daughter Christie O’Meara of Newport Beach to Jack W. McGovern

II of West Palm Beach, Fla.

The bride-elect graduated from Corona del Mar High school, Baylor

University and Indiana University. The future bridegroom, son of Jack

and Cindy McGovern of Olive Branch Miss., graduated from Kennesaw

State University in Ga.

A Nov. 15 wedding is planned at the Center Club in Costa Mesa.

Chesebro-Goodman

Candace Chesebro and Brian Goodman exchanged vows at the Marriott

in Newport Beach.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Sally Chesebro of Corona del

Mar. She graduated from the University of San Diego and New York

University. She is studying Spanish at Chapman University.

The bridegroom is the son of Fred and Roz Goodman of Overland

Park, Kan. The groom graduated from Indiana University and Kansas

School of Law. He is employed as a senior corporate counsel and

secretary for Paciolan Inc. in Irvine.
