Ice Age, Tsunami fight to deadlock

Ice Age and Tsunami each put forth solid defensive efforts and their
AYSO Region 55 Under-12 Division match ended in a 1-1 tie.
Tsunami scored first, getting a goal when the ball deflected off
Ice Age keeper Chris Gaglione late in the first period.
Tsunami controlled the second and third quarters of play yet
couldn’t score, as Gaglione came up with three saves.
After coming close to scoring on two occasions in the fourth
quarter, Ice Age finally drew even when Zack Etem drove past a
defender to score with 10 seconds left to play.

Under-12 Division
Pulverizers 2, Jalapenos 0
Morgan Lane got the shutout in net and was aided on defense by
Lindsay Conlisk, Natilee Seferian and Amber Soedel as the Pulverizers
recorded the victory.
Emily Locken opened up the game’s scoring with a first period goal
off an Elizabeth Mulcahy assist. In the second quarter, Emily
Peterson scored on an indirect kick off a feed from Leslie Schwene.
Under-10 Division
Stingers 2, Hammerheads 1
Consecutive goals by Brooke Webster in the final two periods
lifted the Stingers past the Hammerheads.
Raquel Clark made several key saves in net to preserve the
victory.
The Hammerheads had taken a 1-0 second quarter lead on Danielle
Duron’s goal.
H.B. Contusions 2, Ripcurl 1
Chelsea Salisbury scored off a Randa Addam assist. Catherine Yee
and Katherine Renaud led the defense for Ripcurl, which suffered its
first loss.
