Celebrating the renaissance of the streets of Balboa Village and
talents of more than 100 artists, “La Strada Dell’ Arte: An Italian
Street Painting Festival and Taste of Italy,” will be presented Oct.

Golden West College’s 11th annual Patrons Fashion Show will be
held at 10:30 a.m. This year’s theme is “Cruising Into Fall.” There

Orange County Market Place will celebrate 35 years from 7 a.m. to
4 p.m. at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The theme will be
“California Dreamin’.” There will be free birthday cake and 35-cent
foods and drinks. Entertainment will include 1960s music, strolling
performers and the presentation of donations to Costa Mesa charitable
and nonprofit organizations.
The Newport Harbor High School PTA will hold the 17th annual
Harbor Heritage Run. There will be a 5K run and a 2K fun run/walk, as
well as a Kids Klassic race. A free warm-up and fitness fair will
begin at 7:30 a.m., and the races will begin at 8 a.m. Entry fees are
from $15 to $25. All proceeds from this event will be used to promote
and enhance the academic programs at Newport Harbor High.

Macy’s South Coast Plaza hosts Passport In-Store which is a
shopping fundraiser to support 20 local HIV/AIDS organizations. There
will be shopping discounts, special events, drawings and exclusive
gifts with purchase. Local HIV/AIDS that sell the $10 tickets which allow shoppers to receive discounts from 10 to 20 percent retain 100

Newport Coast Concours d’Elegance will have its first Oktoberfest
of German Sports Car Show at Hidden Valley Park in Irvine next to the
Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The show will include Gull Wing
