Bruins rally to edge Rattlers

The Bruins scored two goals in the final period to wipe out a

one-goal deficit and record a 2-1 victory over the Rattlers in an

Adams Division contest at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

Down 1-0, Philip Pascarelli scored on a Cameron Platzman assist to

tie the score, then the two players reversed their roles and

Platzman’s late score broke the tie.

Following a scoreless first period, the Rattlers had taken a 1-0

lead when Karyn Israel scored unassisted.

Cole Redl recorded the victory on 19 saves.

Jake Grothjan notched 30 saves for the Rattlers.

In other games:

Roller Dogs 5, Wings 3

Jacob Pope posted a game-best four goals as the Roller Dogs pulled

away to down the Wings.

Lukas Welinder scored unassisted in each period to account for the

Wings’ scoring.

Michael Pigors had 34 saves.

Mad Dogs 6, X-Men 2

Niley Smith scored two goals to lead a Mad Dogs attack that saw

five different players score.

In addition to Smith, Shannon Booth, Troy Ishino, Jack Koulos and

Aron Wong scored goals.

Jason Snyder added an assist and Sean Mastro finished with 13

saves.

The X-Men’s offense consisted of goals by Tanner Osterkamp and

Christopher Boyd.

Ducks 4, Dyno-Mites 4

Blake Rivera scored all four goals and Jackson McCleery had an

assist as the Ducks rallied to tie the Dyno-Mites.

Derek Loh had 11 saves.

Travis Hunter scored all four goals for the Dyno-Mites and Mackie

Albertson had an assist.
