Sassy and Pouchen

Sassy and Pouchen are two 9-year-old sister Lhasa Apso dogs who

may be out of a home.

“The two sisters would be best separated into two quiet adult

homes,” said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Newport Beach-based

Community Animal Network. “The two crave attention and get jealous

when the other is being petted.”

In response to the [email protected] program, the network

has been receiving many requests for purebred puppies.

“People may lose sight of the goal of the program and what rescue

is all about,” Pfaff-Martin said.

The network’s mission is to save lives, no matter the age, type or

condition, she said. Temporary homes are provided until loving homes

are found for animals with an otherwise poor chance of survival, she

said.
