HISTORIC WORKSHOP
The Heritage Committee will hold a public workshop on becoming a
certified local government, a national program designed to encourage
the direct participation of a local government in the identification,
registration and preservation of historic properties. The workshop
will also provide a nuts and bolts presentation on conducting local
historic survey and inventory. State historian Marie Nelson of the
California Office of Historic Preservation will conduct the workshop
at 10 a.m. in conference Room A at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave.

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park offers hiking, mountain biking and
equestrian riding on designated trails at the Willow Canyon Staging

BIBLE STUDY
The semester for Word Study Laguna Beach, a community
nondenominational, non-exclusive Bible study, will begin at noon at
the Calvary Evangelical Free Church. Word Study Laguna Beach is an
independent ministry of Word Study International and meets weekly
from noon to 1 p.m. in the church at 468 Legion St. All are welcome
to participate in the short lesson, small groups, praying and

BENEFIT AUCTION/DINNER
Woody’s at the Beach will host an art auction and wine dinner
benefiting the Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation for $75 per person. Guests will enjoy a four-course
gourmet dinner paired with fine wines of Willamette Valley Vineyards.
Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the art auction and raffle drawing begin

Women’s Self Defense and Awareness Training for mature adults and

ART EXHIBITION
The Marion Meyer Contemporary Art Gallery will host a survivor art
exhibition and artist reception designed to celebrate the feeling of
empowerment, expression and healing power that creativity can bring
and showcasing work from women who are using art as a healing medium

open from 7 to 9 p.m. for the reception and the exhibition will be
