Resident aids injured nude woman
A resident on Laguna Canyon Road called police Sunday when a naked
woman with a large wound on the back of her head frantically knocked
on his door at 10:24 p.m.
The 30-year-old Orange resident had reportedly been drinking with
her boyfriend all day in Huntington Beach, Sgt. Jason Kravetz said.
The pair got in an argument while the victim was in the shower. She
ran into the street and into her boyfriend’s car as he tried to
leave.
They apparently fought in the car from Huntington to Laguna Beach,
which didn’t seem necessarily to be a destination, Kravetz said. She
told him to stop the car in the 20700 block of Laguna Canyon Road,
which he did. Neighbors heard them screaming at each other, and then
he drove away. The resident on Laguna Canyon Road wrapped her in a
blanket until police arrived.
The woman was bleeding from the back of her head and had numerous
abrasions on her body, which police think are as a result of
thrashing around the car, but the exact cause is still under
investigation.
“We’re calling it domestic violence at this point, but we’re not
exactly sure how it happened,” Kravetz said. “She had to have two
staples put in the back of her head at Mission Hospital. It was a
nasty wound.”
Police aren’t releasing the victim’s name until they learn more
about the nature of the dispute.
