JWA issues travel advisory for today
Travelers planning to depart from John Wayne Airport today are
asked to arrive 2 1/2 hours before their flights to allow adequate
time for parking, check-in and the security screening process.
Lines may be longer at ticket counters and security checkpoints
after the the Special Olympics in Long Beach, whose participants will
be flying out of John Wayne throughout the day today.
Passengers are asked to check with their airline for updated
flight information and confirm reservations 24 hours in advance.

Traffic fee committee needs applicants
The Costa Mesa City Council is accepting letters of interest from
residents who want to serve on the city’s Traffic Impact Fee Ad Hoc
Committee. There is a vacancy for a member to represent the community
and another vacancy for a representative of a homeowners’
association.
This committee assists city staff with issues relating to the
revision of the traffic impact fee required of most new developments
or uses within the city. The committee reviews and makes
recommendations on traffic impact fees to the City Council.
Those interested are asked to submit a letter of interest along
with a brief resume to the City Council, City Hall, P.O. Box 1200,
Costa Mesa, CA 92628 by July 22. For information, call Raja
