Kings move on to Wales title game, eliminate Spiders, 8-5
The Kings outscored the Spiders, 6-3, over the final two periods at
Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach and went on to
eliminate the Wales Division’s No. 1 seed from title contention with
an 8-5 victory.
The win sends the Kings, the No. 5 seed, into the division final
on Saturday against the Hawks.
Neil Patel and Anthony Thompson each scored twice and added an
assist to lead the Kings. The attack also featured goals by Greg
Weaver, Tom Moore, Nick Delgleize and Sean Wing.
Jeff Fuzzard finished with 25 saves.
Jacob Hill and Kyle McGeary each scored twice with an each had
assists for the Spiders and Joshua Fisher scored once.
Ethan Berg came up with 30 saves.

Hawks 4, Mad Dogs 0
The No. 3 Hawks reached the title game as Aly Zappen scored twice
with an assist, Nathan Bergeron had a goal and assist and Brendon
Mohl scored a goal.
Smythe Division
Red Lazers 5, Mad Dawgs 2
The top-seed Red Lazers won this semifinal match as Eric Newfield
finished with three goals and an assist, Quinn Piper scored and had
an assist, Collin Provost scored once and Daniel Ane recorded 24
saves.
For the No. 8 seed Mad Dawgs, Ian Arnold and Josh Duchon scored,
Michael Marquette had two assists and Zachary Dubin had 24 saves.
Hyper Monkeys 4, Roller Dogs 2
Jason Sarna, Tov Johnson, Conor Dunlea and Austin Arcala all
scored, Dunlea picked up an assist and David Daley finished with 34
saves as the No. 7 see Hyper Monkeys advanced to the title game.
The No. 2 seed Roller Dogs received goals from Shane Connolly and
George Zuniga and 32 saves from Eric Aguayo.
Patrick Division
In semifinal round play, the No. 5 Diamondbacks upended the
top-seed Timberwolves and the No. 3 seed Roadrunners trimmed No. 2
seed Postmen, 6-5.
Norris Division
It will be a Sharks-Intimidators final after the No. 4 Sharks
eliminated the No. 1 seed Renegades, 5-3, and the No. 7 Intimidators
shaded No. 3 Team L.A., 3-2.
