Newport Tanning Club in Costa Mesa offers a tan without the

messiness of applying those products yourself.

The Magic Tan Spray Spa is the latest innovation in tanning

salons. It looks like a regular shower, but instead of water, the

tanner is bathed in a solution made up of bronzers, moisturizers and

DHA, the solution found in sunless tanning products.

Tanners don protection for their head and hair, and step into the

spa with 40 spray heads. Four cycles later, and voila, that bronze

glow starts to appear.

The tan takes six to 12 hours to appear, depending on the user’s

skin type.

“By attaining a healthy tan, you can look more fit and slimmer,”

Newport Tanning Club owner Joann Turner said. She encourages people

to come check out the salon, and if this article is brought in, she’s

prepared to offer a 10% discount on any tanning package.

Average prices at Newport Tanning Club are between $45 and $100.

The salon also offers conventional tanners regulated and approved

by the FDA.

“The tanning times are closely monitored at Newport Tanning Club.

All of our tanning consultants have been certified by the National

Tanning Institute,” Turner said.
