the new senior vice president of operations and Tung is the assistant

vice president of regulatory products accounting ... Richard “Rick”

Jones has joined McCarthy Cook & Co. as senior vice president of

asset management. He will be based in McCarthy Cook’s Costa Mesa

office ... Marine Corps Reserve Cpl. Daniel E. Adams, son of Kim and

Ronald E. Adams of Costa Mesa, was recently called to active duty for

Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is assigned to Company “G,” 2nd

Battalion, 23rd Marine’s 4th Division in Los Alamitos: the largest

ground combat element in the Corps. He is a 1994 graduate of Newport

Harbor High School ... Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeremiah D.

Cleveland is participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Arabian

Gulf aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Porter. He is a 1998

graduate of Costa Mesa High School ... Nick Sacco, top Franklin

Academy scholar, will graduate Thursday. He will attend USC this fall

to study biology ... Priscilla Haag, an Orange Coast College

communications major, was the student speaker at the college’s 55th

annual commencement ceremony on May 30 at LeBard Stadium. She plans

to attend Cal State Long Beach ... Pat Shea, a Costa Mesa carwash

owner, was honored by the Environmental Protection Agency for his

efforts to contribute to the water quality in the Costa Mesa area ...

Robert M. Campbell, president of CT Realty Corp. of Newport Beach,

was honored by the UC Irvine Graduate School of Management program

with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his 3-year career in

real estate ... Kristine Jo Harrington, a Newport Beach student at

Davidson College in North Carolina, received the college’s Algernon

Sydney Sullivan Award at commencement ceremonies on May 18, honoring

her service to the college, and for leadership in issues on public

health and women’s rights. She was also awarded the Lilly Scholarship

in Religious Vocation and Leadership. She plans to travel to Ghana,

West Africa, after graduation to work in a maternity hospital and a

Planned Parenthood facility.
