lifeguard Tower 2 in the 31000 block.
SUNDAY
* North Coast Highway: A resident called police at 10:23 a.m.
complaining that a sprinkler had been running for three straight days
on a cliff in the 1000 block. The police log says work was apparently
being done on the site and nothing could be done.
* Broadway: Police arrested a Laguna Hills resident for possession
of methamphetamine and suspicion of being under the influence of
methamphetamine at 6:17 a.m. Police saw the suspect pacing
frantically back and forth in a parking lot in the 300 block and
advised him to stay away from heightening morning traffic. He showed
signs of being under the influence of drugs and was unresponsive when
asked about his drug habits. A field test confirmed he was under the
influence and a search yielded a meth pipe and less than a gram of
methamphetamine.
SATURDAY
* Miramar Street: Police seized and destroyed three pipes, about
four grams of marijuana and a dagger after breaking up a party at
10:07 p.m. with half of its attendees younger than 18. Only two of
the 20 to 25 at the party were older than 21 years of age.
* Tree Top Lane: A resident reported that five or six children
were jumping off the roof at Top of the World Elementary School about
20 minutes before his 6:42 p.m. call. Police didn’t find any jumpers.
* South Coast Highway: A man who’d reportedly been seen at the bar
of a hotel in the 1500 block was taken to Mission Hospital after
falling eight feet from a hotel balcony to the sand at 6:07 p.m.

tailgating her on South Coast Highway and flashing its lights at 1:26
p.m. She said three males were in the Honda throwing eggs at her car.
Police are investigating.
* Poplar Street: A resident in the 300 block called police at
around 7:30 a.m. saying her neighbor was blasting opera music. Police
arrived and heard no music, and the neighbor denied having played it.
The reporting party called again about an hour later, saying the
neighbor was blasting the music again, and police arrived again and
heard nothing. Officers talked to both parties, who were given
“solutions,” according to the police log, and they didn’t receive
further complaints.
* Tree Top Lane: Police responded to a suspicious vehicle report
that six cars were headed toward Top of the World Elementary School
at 2:58 a.m. Police found several kids eating doughnuts in the 21000
block when they arrived.
* Bounty Way: Police received a domestic violence call at 12:53
a.m. from a resident saying her husband had threatened her with a
baseball bat. Both were intoxicated, police said. Police took the
victim to her friend’s house and her husband went to bed.
JUNE 6
* Frontage Road: Police received a call that six teenagers were
trying to crash a party in the 800 block at 8:26 p.m. The teenagers
provided conflicting information about where they were supposed to
be, so police called their parents, who picked them up. One of them,
a 14-year-old, had to spend about two hours at the police station
before his parents were contacted.
* Temple Hills Drive: A resident jogging at around 6 a.m. said she
saw a man in the 1900 block standing on his front porch watching her
and masturbating as she passed. She pretended she didn’t see him and
kept going, then circled back to see if he was still there. He
reportedly saw her coming from inside and returned to the porch to
repeat the process. The victim reported the incident to police at
3:39 p.m. Police are investigating.
