Candace Mason
About 100 well-wishers paid their respects to Candace Mason, a
longtime tennis instructor for the city of Newport Beach’s Parks and
Recreation Department, in a service April 26. Mason died April 15 of
an illness. She was 44. She is survived by sister Wendee; and mother
Helen. The city has approved two benches to be built near San Joaquin
Park, where Mason conducted most of her lessons.
