Anteater golf classic kicks off next week

The 2003 UC Irvine Athletics/Traditional Jewelers Anteater Golf
Classic is scheduled for June 16 at the Mission Viejo Country Club.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the UCI Athletic Scholarship
Fund.
Registration is at 10 a.m. and the tournament begins with a
shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $225 per player and includes
green fee, cart, continental breakfast, lunch, hospitality bag,
competition package and dinner. A hospitality hour, silent auction
and dinner will follow in the evening.

UCI 13th at North American competition
* SAILING: The UC Irvine women’s sailing team finished 13th out of
18 teams at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association North American
Women’s Championship held at Grosse Point Shores, Mich.
The Anteaters, ranked No. 14 in the nation, finished with 441
points and in 13th place. Tufts won its eighth women’s title with 160
points.
In 18 “A” races, UCI’s Emily Robb and Kelsey Cochran totaled 226
points while Lauren Maxam and Emily Hemberger recorded 215 points in
the B division.
