Costa Mesa Realtor named top volunteer

The California Parks and Recreation Society named Costa Mesa

Realtor Valerie Torelli the 2003 District 10 Volunteer of the Year.

Torelli received the award at the organization’s 48th annual awards

and installation banquet held in May at the Centre at Sycamore Plaza

in Lakewood. She was recognized for her fund-raising efforts to

benefit the city of Costa Mesa.

Torelli’s community activities include sponsoring a variety of

special events, including the summer concert-in-the-park series.

Newport agency will handle vitamin account

Newport Beach-based Estey-Hoover Advertising & Public Relations

was selected by Alacer Corp. to coordinate all publicity for its

Emer’gen-C brand, a Vitamin C product.

The product is sold nationwide in grocery and health store outlets

nationwide. Officials said the agency will build an aggressive

marketing strategy for the brand.
