5 locals All-PCL
Corona del Mar High seniors Alissa Zoelle and Amy Tyson, who led the
Sea Kings to a third-place finish and a berth in the CIF Southern
Section Division IV softball playoffs, have been named first-team
All-Pacific Coast League by the circuit’s coaches.
CdM, which won a third-place playoff to make the postseason for a
third straight year, is represented on the second team by Senior
Lauren Loe, junior Sarah Stern and sophomore Heather Lohrman.
Zoelle, bound for Fresno State, is a four-time first-team
all-league selection. She hit .474 in league and was the team’s
primary pitcher.
Tyson, a catcher, hit .424 in league. She was second-team
all-league as a junior.
Loe, a shortstop, is another four-time all-league honoree. She was
a first-team choice last year, after twice earning second-team
honors.
Stern was a second-team pick last spring, while Lohrman, hit .375
in league this season.
Northwood senior Allison Lewis is the Most Valuable Player.
