Orange Coast College’s Jake Allanach shot 1-over par-72 and Kelly

Wicks carded a 74 to help lead the Pirates’ men’s golf team to Orange

Empire Conference victories over Palomar, Irvine Valley and Golden

West at Santa Ana Country Club Wednesday.

OCC won the OEC four-way match, scoring 376, just edging past

Palomar at 377, while Irvine Valley had 396 and Golden West 461.

David Kendall (76), Brad Champion (76) and Jared Bruce (77) also

contributed for the Pirates (11-4, 7-4 in the OEC).

* Estancia High senior Jason Cassidy shot even on par-35 to

lead the Eagles’ boys golf team to a 198-221 win over Westminster in

Golden West League action at Costa Mesa G&CC; Wednesday.

Marcus Sotak was just 1-over par, while Ryan Brown shot 37, and

Greg Left (45) and Austin Serr (45) also contributed for the Eagles

(4-1, 2-0 in league).

* UC Irvine’s women’s golf team was 16th at the UCLA Classic at

Robinson’s Ranch GC in Santa Clarita Wednesday.

Angela Won was UCI’s best with an 81-73-80 -- 234 for 28th.
