Clear skies for us

WEATHER TIDBITS

We’re actually ahead of the curve now, rainwise.

Last weekend’s drencher put almost every reporting station at or

above the seasonal norms to date.

With the generous helping of moisture this late in the season,

this spring promises to be a verdant one for the greenbelt around

Laguna, with almost complete soil absorption.

It was a big storm, affecting the entire West Coast.

Now it’s bearing down on New Mexico and West Texas where it’s

really warm.

As soon as this cold front crosses the dry line and hooks up with

all that warm tropical marine air from the Gulf of Mexico, severe

weather outbreaks are likely to happen and that will get tornado

season under way.

Saturday was a Red Flag day, as the first Southern Hemisphere

swell of the season meshed with a very strong west-northwest to

northwest groundswell, to push wave heights to double and triple

overhead status.

Stay tuned!
