Keep the Vision clear
It’s been a long road for Vision 2030 -- some might say too long,
with too many man-made obstacles.
Regardless of past problems it’s here now, and now is the time to
put politics aside and find ways to best implement the hard-fought
suggestions put forth.
All are welcome to apply.
So, those of you with knowledge of these areas, with a background
that would be helpful should throw in your name to help out if
possible. There are some groups that seem to be made for the job,
perhaps they are, and if so we hope the council sees fit to use its
knowledge and expertise. But there are some out there who may not be
involved right now in any committees or organizations, who may have a
fresh point of view on solving some old problems.
Planning for Vision 2030 has been a long process, implementing
proposals will be a much longer process. This isn’t a job for a
council that changes every few years. Leaders should be ready to make
a commitment to the goal.
Whoever is chosen to lead the committees, this is a heavy
responsibility. This is a time to try hard to forget past animosities
and even to get over the fact that some proposals were not accepted,
some ideas not adopted.
With all the years of work and battles fought it’s time to do the
sweat of the Vision 2030 soldiers justice by making sure their
proposals are fulfilled in the manner intended.
