Changes in Laguna are for the worse

I read all the Laguna papers because I live here and I have to tell
you, your bias attitude about how wonderful things like the Montage
Resort and Spa and Crystal Cove State Park are for Laguna and its
residents is starting to wear thin.
The part about kicking out El Morro Park people for the good of
everyone irks me, too. So I hope you have the guts to print an
opposite viewpoint from a long-time resident. By the way, I’m not one
of the wealthier of the town and I don’t own any beach property.
I’ll bet you that you will find no one that has lived here from
1970 and prior that will agree with you that the Montage, the state
park, the over development, the over population, the excess traffic,
the excess noise, the excess pollution, the excess crowds, etc. (and
I could go on forever) has made South County and the Saddleback
Valley and the local beach towns a better place to live.
Get it, no one will say it is a better place to live, unless their
job, living and or finances are in direct relation to all the above
atrocities I mentioned. No one will tell you it has happened for the
betterment of the lives of people who have lived here when it truly
was a pristine beautiful area, free of all the above mentioned
things.
I truly miss the old days and I’m sure there are plenty others
like me. It truly was the land of milk and honey and now it is a
disgusting mess. I and the people I’m talking about won’t be using
the Montage or the park or the state park for the most part. We won’t
be living in those ugly homes or shopping in the mall up the coast.
The only thing that would make this area and our lives better is for
it all to disappear and have it be like it was prior to 1970.
