Should we go to war?

The Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot went to Laguna Beach High School and

asked some of the students, ‘Do you think a war with Iraq or North

Korea is warranted?’

“No, because North Korea has many different nuclear weapons that

could cause a lot of harm or destroy America. Just going to war will

affect our economy and everyday life, it will make a great impact on

our generation.”

“Yes and no. No because of the stupid reasons we would go to war,

and if it will help us not be attacked, yes.”

CODIE LARSEN,

“I think it’s the last option we can possibly have. We should try

to find some alternatives.”

GARRET SAULS,

“Yes, I think we should go to war with Iraq. If you go back to a

couple of years ago, Saddam Hussein congratulated the terrorists

regarding Sept. 11. When Iraq went to war with Iran we gave Iraq

chemical weapons, which poses a considerable threat. Hussein is a

dictator who needs to be removed from power before he does any more

damage.”
