Strong arm robbery on Goldenwest Street
A Surf City woman was robbed of a large amount of cash and checks
outside of the First Bank and Trust on Goldenwest Street Friday at
1:30 p.m.
Teresa O’Brien, 51, was approaching the front door of the bank
with deposits from her two liquor stores when a dark skinned man,
described as middle eastern spoke to her in an unknown language,
wrestled a bag containing a bank deposit from her grip. He fled the
scene in a mid-sized vehicle that witnesses say was possibly white,
silver or gray in color, said Huntington Beach Sgt Mike Kelly.
The suspect has been further described by witnesses as roughly 25,
5-foot-7, 170 pounds with a light or sparse mustache. He was possibly
wearing a blue jacket, white collared shirt and blue jeans, Kelly
said.
A second suspect, described as a dark haired male, was driving the
car.
