Ice Dogs hold off Slickshoes

Matthew Myers scored two goals and the Ice Dogs collected another
Norris Division victory, this one at the expense of the Slickshoes
who fell, 4-3, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey in Huntington Beach.
Myers opened up his team’ scoring with a first period goal and his
second goal, which came in the third period, increased the Ice Dogs’
lead to 3-1.
Jared Novakovich and Amanda Case also scored for the Ice Dogs,
Shane Connolly picked up two assists and Sarah Aguayo had one.
Eric Aguayo finished with 14 saves.
Ethan Loy led the Slickshoes with two goals, Jacob Higbee scored
once and Kristian Burkhardt had one assist.
Dane Chavez recorded 24 saves.

Slugs 5, Hat Trix 4
Nathan Enright scored off a Sean-David Salisbury assist late in
the third period to lift the Slugs to victory.
Michael Thomas paced the winners with two goals, Elijah Starnes
and Garrett Cook each scored once and Kyle Hayashida had one assist.
Cody Nunes got the win on 23 saves.
Max Olin scored twice and had an assist, Lucas Young scored twice,
and Kyler Scott had two assists for the Hat Trix.
Avi Press had 22 saves.
Big Dogs 4, Blackhawks 3
Christian Mohl’s goal off a Gene Jaeger feed in the final period
was the game winner for the Big Dogs.
Craig Wellander scored two goals and Austin Anderson scored once
while Mohl and Max Serrels each had an assist.
Jacob Otis had 23 saves.
Taylor Baikie scored once with an assist to lead the Blackhawks.
Jr. Kings 3, Phantoms 1
Nikki Morejon and Harry Ellis each scored goals in the final
period for the Jr. Kings, breaking a 1-1 tie.
It was the second goal of the match for Morejon who scored off a
Taylor Ellis assist in the opening period.
Timothy Francis recorded 23 saves.
For the Phantoms, Ryan Schlerf scored and Wesley Whitmer had 21
saves.
