Sage Hill puts away Connelly

Sage Hill School’s girls basketball team, behind double-doubles from
Katie Puishys and Haywood Wright, eliminated Connelly in the first
round of the CIF Division IV-A Playoffs Thursday night, 33-22, at
Fairmont Prep.
“Our shots weren’t falling,” said Sage Hill Coach Shanna Renken.
“I just told them to keep shooting, and lo and behold, they did start
falling.”
Puishy’s had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Wright had 11 points,
10 rebounds and seven blocks. Debbie Yoder-Lee added six steals.
Sage Hill, now 14-7, will play the winner of the Calvary Chapel
(Downey)-Western Christian game Saturday night.
